we’re now known as one of New England’s top choices for private events and catering.

Founder Executive Chef

With a lifelong passion for hospitality, Lloyd B. Murray founded White Mountain Chalet in 1987, aiming to transform a charming rustic venue into a lively hub of unforgettable experiences. He has catered over 4,500 weddings, many celebrated by second-generation families, ensuring that his legacy of excellence continues to thrive under the care of his family. As a graduate of the prestigious Cordon Bleu program at Johnson and Wales, Lloyd also serves as the resident culinary genius at White Mountain Chalet. His innovative approach to cuisine and commitment to using only the finest ingredients allow him to create custom catering menus that offer guests a truly special culinary experience. Together, his dual roles as founder and executive chef embody the dedication to hospitality and quality that define White Mountain Chalet.

We had an offsite wedding in Maine that we used Chef Lloyd and his team to caterer. I introduced myself to chef shortly after he arrived and his personality and hospitality was amazing. He took care of setup and service without any issues even though we were at a campsite with no electricity or running water. And then there was the food…amazing. The shrimp skewers were some of the best I’ve ever had. Chef used sugar cane skewers which added a hint of sweetness to each bite. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly as well. All the sides from the salad to the coleslaw were fantastic. Chef thanked my wife and I and had everything cleaned up within minutes. He even left us all the uneaten food on a table. He helped make a terrific day even better. If you ever need food for an event definitely call Chef Lloyd. Amazing job.

Absolutely! We offer a variety of customizable event packages. From custom menus created by our executive chef to personalized décor and setup options, our team works closely with you to ensure every detail reflects your vision and preferences.

If you choose to host your event at our private chalet in New Hampshire, the rental includes access to our fully licensed bar, a newly renovated indoor space with air conditioning and a working fireplace, a private bridal suite, and plenty of parking on our 3-acre site. You’ll also have access to our outdoor ceremony area overlooking Horne Brook — the perfect place for vow exchanges and cocktail hours!

Since 1987, we’ve proudly covered events all across New England, including New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. On occasion, we’ve also traveled further afield to ensure our clients receive the exceptional service they deserve, no matter the location.

No need to worry about facilities! Our off-site catering services are fully self-contained. We bring everything we need with us, including kitchen equipment, buffet tables, linens, serving equipment, plates, and silverware. This allows us to deliver high-quality service without access to electricity, running water, or kitchen facilities at your chosen venue.
